The Holland Education Fair 2009 will be held in Yogyakarta,Bandung,Jakarta and Makassar as part of a campaign by Dutch higher education institution to ” go international”. Ariono Hadipuro of the Neso Indonesia Education Promotion recently that according to Neso [Netherlands Education Support Office] Indonesia’s data,that the number of foreigners studying in the Netherlands increased by 7,5 percent to 76,000 from 2008 to 2009. He said that the main characteristics of higher education in the Netherlands is the ethnic diversity of students,programs of study or research,and open to foreigns students and teachers who enter the Netherlands as well as knowledge of international world. Most foreign in the Netherlands come from Europe. However ,asia provides a significant contribution in the number of foreign student in the Netherlands,accounting for up 20 % of the total.Neso Indonesia will hold the Holland Education Fair 2009 at Novotel Yogyakarta on Nov.10 in Bandung Nov.12,Jakarta Nov.14 to 15 and Clarion Hotel in Makassar on Nov.17
